HOA Board & Architectural Control Committee - Summary of Roles & Responsibilities
 
President
Leads the association, oversees board operations, and ensures compliance with governing documents. Chairs meetings, sets agendas, signs official documents, and works closely with management to implement board decisions. Acts as the primary spokesperson and facilitates conflict resolution.
 
Vice President
Supports the president and assumes leadership duties when needed. Assists with oversight of committees, projects, and long-term planning. Takes on special initiatives and helps maintain continuity in board operations.
 
Treasurer
Oversee the financial health of the HOA. Reviews monthly financials, monitors reserve accounts, and collaborates on the annual budget. Ensures assessments are collected, invoices are paid, and financial controls are followed. Presents financial reports and coordinates audits or reviews.
 
Secretary
Maintains official HOA records and documentation. Prepares and distributes meeting agendas and notices. Records and preserves minutes, manages correspondence, and ensures compliance with statutory record-keeping requirements. Oversees document retention and homeowner access requests.
 
HOA Website Content Manager
The Website Content Manager maintains the HOA’s online presence by ensuring the website is accurate, organized, and homeowner‑friendly. This role supports clear communication, transparency, and timely updates across the community.
 
Architectural Control Committee (ACC)
Reviews and approves homeowner requests for exterior modifications to maintain community standards and property values. Ensures compliance with architectural guidelines, conducts site visits when needed, and communicates decisions within required timelines. Recommends updates to design standards and assists with addressing violations.
